How Bentonite Slurry is Prepared
1. Mixing with Water
Clean water is taken in a tank or mixing pit. Bentonite powder is slowly added into the water while continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
2. Proper Hydration
The mixture is allowed to rest so that Bentonite can absorb water and swell completely. This hydration increases viscosity and gel strength.
3. Mechanical Agitation
High-speed mixers, slurry pumps, or agitators are used to achieve a smooth and uniform consistency.
